Lakshadweep Islands

Lakshadweep means “a group on one thousand Islands”. It is a territory consisting of 36 Island made of twelve atolls and three REEFS besides five submerged banks. Out of these, only ten are inhabited Islands. You can imagine the remoteness of these Islands by the fact that the total land surface area of these islands is only 32 km2 covering a vast lagoon area of 4200 km2.

These Islands are known for their golden unexplored beaches with coconut palm trees with crystal clear water ranging from turquoise to sapphire and lapis lazuli. There are beautiful coral reefs which offer divers a life time experience.
